Sarah Hankinson - Illustrator (Melbourne)

Sarah has exhibited at ‘Chapel off Chapel’ and ‘Design A Space’ galleries in Prahran, Melbourne.”Melbourne Illustrator Sarah Hankinson creates feminine yet striking works which play off broken lines and occasional splashes of colour. She bringing together the reality and the sketch. Sarah’s illustration style is elegant, youthful, and strongly fashion orientated, her images explores strong complex characters giving audiences an unforgettable visual impact. many of her pieces focusing on the female form and made up from a variety of mediums including inks, charcoal, pencils, cut paper and fabrics.

I like her style of sketch, because it will be very detailed at the important and close part, for the visual reasons, closer objects will feel clearer than far distance objects. Also there is a very good contrast in her design, not only the color, but also between the characters. I think the very successful point which is she using the eyes to express the pesronality and emotion, and its very detailed and vivid. It better to represent the hand more detailed, because the hand is the closest in the image, and very important as well.
